Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'
Matthew 19:26
The final day of this first week of Advent focuses on the boundless possibilities that come from a God who can do all things. With God, what seems impossible—whether it's relational healing or overcoming personal brokenness—becomes possible through Christ. This powerful truth offers hope in the face of our most difficult situations. We often look at our lives through the limited lens of human capability, but Jesus reminds us that our perspective is not God's. For us, a broken relationship may seem beyond repair, a deep-seated loneliness may feel like a permanent state, or a personal struggle may appear insurmountable. But with God, all things are possible.
The Christmas story itself is a testament to this reality. The Incarnation—God becoming human—is the ultimate impossible event made possible. This miraculous act assures us that God's power is not limited by our circumstances or our perceived limitations. Jesus is "God with us", and this presence opens up a myriad of possibilities in our lives. When we get so wrapped up in our own wants and disappointments, we forget that Jesus wants our hearts and offers endless possibilities.
This season, as you prepare for the arrival of the King, you can recapture the wonder and hope of Christmas by believing in God's possibilities. This hope is not found in a time of year but in a person: Jesus. He is the one who can heal you, redeem your relationships, and make you whole. By giving Him your heart, you are inviting Him to do what only He can—turn the impossible into reality. The possibilities are truly endless.
Pray specifically for a relationship or situation you feel is beyond repair, believing in God's possibilities.
